This is fitting considering the extended Ablaze Revolution crew is pumped up at the explosion of our new website. To better handle the growth of the international, web-based ministry, the Ablaze Revolution website has now tripled in size. Now that's Dynamite! While some may vote for Pedro, we'll Vote for Jesus! Congratulations to Hall of Famer, Rayfield Wright

The Ablaze Revolution crew extends a warm congratulations to former Dallas Cowboy great Rayfield Wright for being selected for enshrinement into the pro football hall of fame. Both Pastor Patrick and Peter had the opportunity of meeting Mr. Wright at a golf tournament last year benefitting the excellent work Lutheran Social Services of the South does with the children of the Nelson Center in Denton, TX. Mr. Wright was the honorary chairman of the event. Suffice it to say, he's an eloquent and engaging speaker who, perhaps most importantly, is a tremendous man of God. Not surprisingly, in Sunday's edition the Fort Worth Star Telegram quoted Wright as saying, "Thank God. I am totally honored to be standing here at this time." We thank God that we're working on the same team with Rayfield Wright. NOTE: Pastor Patrick did a special Soul Thirst Devotion in Praise of our Lord, focusing on the children at the Nelson Center, and highlighting Mr. Wright's selection; undoubtedly in the order of which Rayfield would approve.

Burton to Join Ablaze U Faculty

The Ablaze University is very pleased to announce the addition of another strong voice for Christ to its senior faculty, Professor Robert Burton. Professor Burton is a full time faculty member in the English Department at North Central Texas College. Before joining the faculty at NCTC, he worked for Texas Woman’s University in various capacities, such as assisting in the development of online classes, instruction, and assisting the faculty in technological advances. Professor Burton is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Literature at the University of Dallas. Burton received an M.A. in English from Texas Woman’s University in 2002 and a B.A. in English from the University of North Texas. He’s known as an innovative instructor who’s been described as an extraordinarily unique and insightful thinker with a tremendous heart for the Lord.

New Year's Revolution

The Ablaze Revolution is very pleased to announce that Dr. Mark Odell has accepted a senior faculty position with The Ablaze University. Described by some as an intellectual giant for Jesus Christ, Dr. Odell is an internationally known speaker and author. Currently the founder and director of Glacier Haven, a counseling & consulting retreat center in Montana, Dr. Odell was a renowned academic before the Lord called him to his current venture. In the past, Dr. Odell was a tenured, senior faculty member in the behavioral sciences at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as an award winning assistant professor at Bowling Green State University. Students of the Ablaze University will quickly grow to love Dr. Odell's provocative, insightful, and often times humorous writing style that will no doubt help Let Christ Make Sense to the ends of the earth.

Soul Thirst Audio Devotions Ablaze

Began just seven weeks ago with an e-mail to 40 people, Soul Thirst has grown so rapidly by word of mouth that approximately 500 people received today's audio devotion. What if it were possible to have 1,000 subscribers by the end of the year? With us alone, it's impossible; but with God, all things are possible. As each e-mail reads, "The Glory of God is man fully alive in Christ." Of course, it's impossible for us to be fully alive in Christ if we're not regularly being fed by The Word. Rather than JUST telling people to read the Bible regularly, Pastor Patrick Miller began Soul Thirst to actually connect people to God's Word in a brief, 3-4 minute, daily (Monday through Friday) devotion. As God's Word is applied to our life today, Christians are gaining confidence in their abilities to share the Good News of Jesus with people who do not yet know Him. Through this systemic vision, more and more thirsty souls across the globe are being simultaneously quenched through God's Word and set ablaze with the power of Jesus Christ.
